The Adult Learner
From Adult Education
The adult learner is different from the child and adolescent learner in many dimensions. Adult educators need to consider the biological and psychological development characteristics of adults, socio-cultural and integrative perspectives on adult development, as well as cogitative development in adulthood. Adult educators also need to be mindful of aging and its impact on learning when planning programs for senior citizens. The following chapters will elaborate on these issues.
- Biological and Psychological Development
